GTagami, pleasure meeting you today, and Keith, good seeing you again.  Touch base with me about Sunday.  Chilibean and I are going to be @ LAX in the evening...he's dying to get some FedEx MD-10s and MD-11s.

It's a shame we didn't get to see those F-18s.  I was actually at school the whole day and saw some other military jets come in, but no sight of those Hornets.

It was like a mini APSOCAL meeting at LGB this afternoon. Good meeing you D. Good seeing you again Keith and Chili. Too bad we missed those 18's.

I sure do!    I eventually got burned out on the typical traffic I see going into LGB, but I never realized that you could get so close to the runway.  Seeing the FedEx Airbuses and UPS 767 take off right in front of us was humbling, for a change.

i go to csulb also. Oneday i went to campus on a saturday, and i heard something different sounding....looked up and had a nice view of two hornets on final!

Ahh, sweet deal!  Yep, the occasional of fighters over the campus while taking exams....gotta love it.

WOW!!!! In civi colors. Is Quatar a govt owned airline?  Looks cool in gloss colors.  Or are they selling the C-17 to civilian operators, not that there would be that many.

Yeah looking at the markings it seems that its govt owned but had a non-military paint job.
