The main reason I headed to Los Al this past weekend. A unique KME Fireshield engine evaluated by Los Angeles County, and then sold to Los Alamitos JFTBFD.

First Due here at my friend's house in Palm Beach Gardens:

This is my 4th time here in the past 3 years, I've spent more than a month and a half all total here, and have yet to see this engine on a call, or even leave the station. They're always there. The Ambulance goes out every so often but the engine seems to never turn a wheel.

Looks like the station personnel are taking good care of Engine 64. She's looking good out in the California sunshine.

Very Impressive shot of the Antelope Valley Fire apparatus. Did the AVFD get all of it as new equipment?

That's all LA County Fire... I imagine it was all bought new. Large agencies like LA County don't typically get hand me down equipment.

A few from the Winchester Fire last season.

A Lake Elsinore/County Fire (Cal Fire) Engine arrives on scene (you can see fire in the driver's window). A truck racing down a dirt road on the north side of the fire, and a Battalion Chief's truck against the flames.
