Since it is unclear whether there'll be a flyby (it may just be the static aircraft), here's the fly-by from back when the first delivery was made (sorry, forgot the date). I heard from a friend at the test squadron that the flyby was supposed to be much higher (Sen. Boxer was on stage at the time, too), and the pilot decided to come in MUCH lower, and later got in trouble for it. Note...this was shot with a 55mm lens on my old F2...no telephoto involved!

Very nice ;)

Alan, was that the delivery for Spirit of California, or another aircraft? I seem to have it in my head that the delivery ceremony for "Calif" was in August of 1994.

Here are some shots from that 1994 event (open to public).

It might well have been...your ground shots look just like some of mine.

Jim, did you happen to catch the pair of F-16s, one with a large white pod on the centerline station, the other a chase TPS orange and white bird? They came over the house, and I didn't get a good look at what the pod was.

Famous flight.

The pilots were brought before an AF Safety Board, but nothing came of it.

C-2 in the pattern during the NG ceremony. Darned B-2 wing kept getting in the way of my shot!
