Jim did you catch the call sign on that F-4? OLDIE or CHEVY would be my guess. And did it sound any different from the other QF-4s?
The Pilot that used Chevy in honor of Col. Olds no longer works there.  Not sure if they kept it, BAE I mean.

It seemed a bit quieter and wasn't belching any smoke on its approach.

No camera with me this afternoon driving home from work.

Saw 4 F16's flying low (real low) in and over the hills between Palmdale and Acton from the West.   Lost sight of them pretty quick so I'm not sure where they were headed.

It was a nice sighting for the boring drive up the 14, though.

That was Bob Kay. You can still see him in re-runs of the History Channel's "Boneyard" special that covers Mojave Airport.

Yeah, K-Bob's a good guy, known him for the past 5 or so years with the Phantom Society...

MD ANG C-130 from today. Yesterday was slow so I caught this Jackrabbit with some attitude!  <laughing>

Today was a more Easterbunny-like cottontail.  ;)

Excited about today's catch.....I have no idea what this is, but it's very interesting.  Has the Skunkworks logo on the tail, as well as "X-55A" on the side.  I think the N# is N80ZLM, can't quite read all of it.
