I didn't catch that... Way to go!  <cheers>
Thanks Jim... it was a lot of fun.  8) They showed us that the Herc was plenty capable of making people sick. I didn't get sick luckily, but they took us on a roller coaster ride with lots of pitching and yawing.  :o  ;D

Northrop-Grumman and I think based at Hawthorne.

Yeah, they're based out of Los Angeles, close enough.  :)  I haven't seen very many Beechcraft at LAX.  Anywhow, I caught the same one Jim did about 2 months ago.

**Moderators, please feel free to move this post to the 'LAX' thread, I know these pictures are off topic, but relate to a post on this thread.**

Nice catch! This might be the twotter flying at Empire Challenge 09...it was flying a surveillance package called "Angel Fire", which according to the media package, is "mounted on a Twin Otter, AngelFire is a wide-area persisten surveillance program begun at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. AngelFire contains a six-camera main array, a high-resolution wide-area imaging system, HIWAIS...." Article about the politics of the system is here: http://www.usatoday.com/news/military/2007-10-02-angel-fire_N.htm (the other system in the article, Constant Hawk, was also fielded at EC09).

Thanks for the heads up!  :D
When I went back about 3:40pm, there was no sign of him, probably in the hangar.

I'm wondering if they're getting it ready for another science mission. I've got to drop Grey Creech a note, I'll ask him about it.

Thanks! It's either feast or famine, though. Had a nice visit with a captain from the security folks to pass the time. And I mean that sincerely, we shot the breeze for a bit in good humor.  ;)
