Midnight Mover

Back from ?the hill?, got there about 10 minutes before the plane landed. Got there too late to get a good spot. Here is the best photo I could get of the landing with the tree in the way. >:(

I forgot my chain saw. ::)

Midnight Mover

I think this will be a good spot to shoot the take off tomorrow.

Midnight Mover

Must get there early to secure a good spot above the power lines.
Is anyone going to the 7:30 AM tomorrow?

After looking at that first shot I realized that it was way over worked in photoshop. That's what I get for using those plug-ins. Here's another try with very little post-processing.

Nice shot Wolf, this is the one I was trying to get when that tree jumped in front of my camera.

Midnight Mover

Wolf, Fernando, and Damon, sorry I missed you guys. I just about missed it. I got their, shot a few and then had to run back to work.

I have to be in a meeting for work at 9AM but I should be able to get there around 6:45AM and hopefully the airbus will keep its scheduled departure time.

I definitely agree we need a way of identifying other members in a crowd. The patches should be a big help. Tomorrow I will be wearing all black, with a camouflage baseball cap and a very large black tarmac bag.

I might be there at 7am or 7:30am I will be wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, oh and with a Bruins/UCLA cap. At the hill I will be though  8)

I used the delay timer and monopod.  I would pre-focus and lift and and hope it was centerd.  From about 30 shots there are 5-6 good ones (posted) with little or no cropping.

Hey Fernando, you remember that bird that flew up to us. It was an American Kestral.
