After my nephew's birthday party, I headed up towards the southern foothills of the Tehachapi area to check out the snow.......found a GREAT place for sledding, and ended up bumping into fellow APSOCALer Mike Darcy, too. Here are some of the shots.

Mono Lake looking North after getting pummled by the storm that's moving to the East

One of the most amazing scenes at Conway Summit, been taveling 395 since i was born, never seen this, here, before

This was on my way home from PRS 2008, when i crested the summit, the rainbow was screamin, i quick pulled over, in such a panic to get the shot, when i opened my door, the wind grabbed it and swung it so hard it bent the hinge pilar, couldnt close it to save my life.....i pointed the van into the wind, which i'm sure was over 60mph, so i could get the shot, worry about the damage later

Here's my van, if you look closely you can see the strap across the top to hold it shut  for the still 400 miles to go home

All the while i was running around getting the shot, this guy was just out in the open, i stepped over him several times before i knew he was there
