Great stuff Bernie! Makes me wonder if I saw you out there by chance. I saw someone with a big white lens and either LAFD or LACoFD credentials...

Yeah 27 is lookin' gorgeous after her repaint this winter. 23 got a fresh coat of paint this winter as well. Haven't seen 22 in forever! Can't wait to see the pics.  8)

Caught Tanker 22 on the ramp at Ramona. Yes, I drove all the way down there just to see her.  <laughing> She's definitely needing a fresh coat of paint. :)

From the Minto Fire this afternoon south of Sage (and east of Vail Lake). Finally! This season has been so slow I've been having withdrawls on my air tanker fix.

Clinton Fire in Murrieta this afternoon just below the Ortega Highway. Tanker 27 (P-3A) and Tanker 71 (S-2T)

And yes, I ended up wearing Phoschek again. It was bound to happen.  <laughing> I actually took my 2nd, 3rd and 4th retardant hits all together in the same afternoon.  ;D

Found a bunch of old film shots I took as a kid. Back when Hemet used to be the busiest air tanker base in the world (literally, not just a superlative).

They're scanned in. I noticed I actually had some prop blur. And to think I would get mad when my mom would buy me 200 speed film!  :D I guess mom knew best! ;)
