Here are some shots from French Valley while Aluminum Overcast was here today. An Army Kiowa was there yesterday and today... took off with a Riverside County deputy in the left seat.

The highlight of the outing was heading over to talk to Shayne at Wings and Rotors. Always great to talk to Shayne, hadn't seen her in person since last May. Got to finally see the Phantom, what a beaut that thing is going to be. It'll be the best looking Phantom flying when it's finished.  8)

Here's Shayne and Roxanne taking a break from working on the Phantom:

Can't wait to see a Navy painted F-4 fly!!  Anyone have more information on this plane (like when it should fly, and other stuff)?

Isn't French valley a small airport?

Hi, for more info on the F-4 you can go to our web site www.wingsandrotors.org and find it inour aircraft collection area...
and we are on Facebook as well.
We hope to put engines in it  this year, maybe fly next year--she has not flown since 1964 so it has been alot of work restoring it. Also its very difficult to get parts!
thanks for the interest-stop by and see us!

Exactly...  8) No offense intended here, but the Vietnam era camo on the USAF Phantoms right now is nasty.  :-\

This thing is going to be one sexy breath of fresh air (or jet exhaust, rather).  ;D

It was a nice day out there today, I was running right wing with Nate today as usual. It was nice meeting you today Shayne! I can't wait to see the F-4 take to the skies again! I have footage of the B-17 coming in, but it's backed up behind some more footage I've been trying to get up on youtube this past week. I did get some stills with my camcorder though of the F-4 though (excuse the quality  <laughing>).
