                                ** AIRPORT UPDATE: RUNWAY 30 REOPENED**‏

Runway 30 was closed for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes and has now been reopened. All commercial activity was temporarily diverted to Runway 25R while the aircraft was being removed from the main runway. No delays were experienced as a result of this incident. FAA investigators are on-site. At approximately 3:15 p.m. a Cessna Citation jet landed on the Airport's main Runway 30. The nose landing gear collapsed shortly after touchdown. Long Beach Fire and Airport personnel responded, as part of the Airport's standard emergency procedure. There were no injuries to the six people aboard.

Just a reminder to everyone, courtesy of Keith, tomorrow the second Qatar C-17 is supposed to be taking flight.  Not exactly sure of what time, but I will be there around 10am.  Could be as late as 4pm or so but just wanted to let you all know.  Thanks for the heads up Keith.  Kevin, see you there in morn. <thumbup>

Maybe a bad Monday for the pilot ???

Just sorting through my set...the pilot is definitely giving us a bad case of stink eye.  All the unwanted attention must be getting on his nerves. <laughing>

Don't you just love how those military guys - who've taken an oath to defend the constitution - forget that that means the freedom to take photographs? An oath is an oath, guys, live it or get out!
