Yeah i keep check all sites and here nothing.  Also strange that Commander was the first to post on fencecheck hours after the event.  Usually somebody always post a few hours after.

Just got back home. Hope everybody makes it safely.   <thumbup>

Looks like #6 whanged its rear end on take off and was not replaced by the spare aircraft after its safe return. This may or may not be the "incident" in question. The transistion to the five ship worked very well for the five and modified five-ship formations. Got a couple of pics after the return and can post tomorrow after work, but bet that others will post them up before then upon their return.

Nice reverse pattern shot Alfonse.  Did anyone get a shot if the "incident"?  Just wondering.  Glad all went well and safe...

Folks were saying #6 hit his tail on takeoff, but I believe that to be wrong (reviewing my images I see no way that happened).  Over the radio he called out a problem with the HPC (aka high-pressure compressor) in the engine.

I had a great day and will post some pics later.

Here is #6 back on the ramp. This only shows the aftermath and not the circumstances or the conditions which may have led up to what might be mud visible on the bottom of the starboard tail cone as well as possibly a little on the port tail cone.

Just making reference to the fact that no one had posted anything anywhere after the photocall .  Usually someone post fairly quick after the event.  Kept waiting impatiently at my work computer for pictures ;D.  I kept thinking that this "incident" had something to do with it. Anyways, i was just looking into it way to much ;)  Nice pictures.  What was the activity like out there?

Jim looks like you were inside the fence on those shots, did you get the node to go?

Yup, didn't get in as Fencecheck but got in as working media.

I wonder if the HPC problem was due to smacking the tail? Seemed like a lot of people under the plane for a compressor failure. And, Michelle called the AzAP guy and asked for any and all pictures of the "incident" but couldn't say what happened.

Here're some...  :)
