The Navy has this listed as a Tac Demo by VFA-122... I would love to see a Super Hornet demo at a small field like Riverside... anyone know if this is a true demo, or just passes? I thought in the past all the fighters could do is hot passes.

He does a decent no loop demo.  Usually Legacy Hornet in past years.  Also sometimes the 144th FW will do fly-bys as well out of March ARB.  Missed approches   ;D

Has anyone thought about hanging out on Van Buren road to see the C-17 takeoff from there?  Is it even possible, or do they block off that area during the show.  I'm thinking about driving down to see this show - I've never been there before.  What is the parking situation?

I still have yet to attend this show, but from what I hear, the parking is ridiculous. Most people end up parking in neighborhoods and industrial areas nearby and watching several blocks to the airport. I do think I'm going to try to make this show this year though. Especially for VFA-122.

A media pass to this show is worthless unless you want to get on board the media flight the day beforehand. They do not allow media to shoot from the static display line in front of the crowd. Media/arrival day is almost as much fun as show day, if only because of no crowds. Parking has become a huge hassle since the new buildings were put up near the main entrance. GET THERE EARLY, it's quite a walk! Stay late too. I think there was a shuttle available last year. This show gets very crowded, esp near show center, I'd advise shooting from either the west end or the east end.

Nate, you've never been to this one???
