It's going to take me a long time to get used to that Aero Union billboard on the side of those gorgeous P-3s. It's like taking a super model, and putting a tat across her forehead.

On that note, the paint on 00 is really starting to look worn out. Looks like it's all sun beaten over the cockpit.

Fox seems really cool. You guys are lucky.

Dang Tanker 27 getting reassigned to Fox.  He flew on the fire out here last night out of SBD. We went up there today hoping to see them again since it's been 6 or 7 years since we've had a P-3 fight a fire in the area. We did get in an awesome position right next to the S-2s working our fire though. We snuck down 10 miles of trail in my truck and ended up right above the fire on a cliff face.

I'm planning on being out at Fox / 60th in the 4:30 to 6pm timeframe, if anyone else is coming out....

What a day today with the constantly changing light from the smoke. Sometimes it was like sunset, other times, dusk.
