Shot this one while jogging
I know the place you are standing very well, great shot too. :D

Here is an Orange County Fire Authority Type 3 (brush engine) on the Falls Fire:

And a Battalion Chief, same fire.

RVC Safety 1 being dwarfed by 60 foot flames on the Mountain Fire... taken as we pulled back out of the area:

RVC's Fire Chief heading into the Bonita Vista area of Apple Canyon during the Mountain Fire. The fire burned multiple structures in here when the header (smoke column) collapsed, which is essentially the same as the outflow winds put out in a thunderstorm.

A Cal Fire Type 3 Strike Team from San Diego County passes Lake Hemet on the Mountain Fire (shot through my windshield):

Smeal/Spartan Type 1 Engine, Calimesa Fire (aka RVC Fire aka Cal Fire) on a late evening brush fire south of Banning:

my trip to Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago was two-fold. The was the PHX Spotters/NYC Aviation get together, but I also had friends who I travel with to do fire apparatus photography. It was a great weekend for both. I'll post just a few here. While the aviation spotters were on the hill or just getting ready for the event at the theme building, my friends and I were on the Airport grounds. First FS 80, which houses the crash trucks (which I haven't processed yet) and FS 51, which is the structure station and is primary for the terminals at LAX. Here are the engine and ambulance that are stationed there...
