Im sitting at home trying to read but there is either
a) A bunch of Ch-46's flying into Los Alamitos
or
b) One thats been doing a pattern for a while
I'd say those are from a Miramar Air Show.
Here are two H-46's that were at NAS North Island friday 02/13/09.
Great shots Rander ;)
This CH-46 went flying aafter work had been performed on the aircraft.
I'll post more of this aircraft tommorrow
Here are some shots I took at Santa Monica Airport (SMO) yesterday, the crew was amazingly cool.. THNX GUYS! <cheers>
Here they are... departing SMO. <apscs> <nikon>
Great shots Fernando. Looks like they rotated in a circle hover then taking off. Guess they did that for the benefit of those on the ground. Was there a lot of people there or just you? They looked happy walking to the terminal.
Great shots guys <thumbup>

Thank you Damon. They taxiied towards the Typhoon restaurant, they lift off into a hover, did a 90* turn to the right facing the restaurant.... they hovered for a while then hovered backwards. The best part was when while still hovering above the runway they did a pretty cool sideward hover which got enough speed then translated into a forward flight. There was a lot of people eating at the restuarant, including me... but didnt have my camera but since I live a couple of blocks away from SMO I went home to grab my camera! lol! it was so much worth it. ;D
Nice catch! Fernando <cheers>
Thnx Keith ;) <cheers>

Great shots, Doug! <heliguy>
