This CH-46 went flying aafter work had been performed on the aircraft.

Great shots Fernando.  Looks like they rotated in a circle hover then taking off.  Guess they did that for the benefit of those on the ground.  Was there a lot of people there or just you?  They looked happy walking to the terminal.

Thank you Damon. They taxiied towards the Typhoon restaurant, they lift off into a hover, did a 90* turn to the right facing the restaurant.... they hovered for a while then hovered backwards. The best part was when while still hovering above the runway they did a pretty cool sideward hover which got enough speed then translated into a forward flight. There was a lot of people eating at the restuarant, including me... but didnt have my camera but since I live a couple of blocks away from SMO I went home to grab my camera! lol! it was so much worth it.  ;D
