Whell, she did in 06 (first time I saw her, loved it) so I don't see why they wouldn't fly it for sure this year if she's on the schedule, Miramar is usually pretty good with that. http://www.nyhusphotography.com/Miramar06-Day3.htm

I want to see it to and saw it fly in (only) in 2006 but its tentatively on the schedule. You should try going if your free.

I should be around, look for the Fence Check t-shrit if I get it by then or a guy on a step ladder.
Damon: My apperance at the Miramar Air Show is now not likely to happen. I asked for that day off but now find out my supervisor set me up for required training. I.m not likely to go Saturday either too many people. I,ll just be happy covering the Coronado Speed Festival and watch it with other photographers photos.

>:D >:D >:D WORK
I went by the Miramar Air Show practice today 10/02/2008 The Blue Angles were using two #7 aircraft. The photos were shot near the base's West Gate and Miramar Road just on base property.
Robert, Skip, Craig, Eric, great meeting up with you guys today. Hope all you got great shots and look fwd to seeing them. I have to clear my cards before Phancon next week. Great show.
Well , got to at least see a V-22 .
And the F-22 flight was just incredible....worth the many hour drive home.
Glad you had a good time Skip and you saw your V-22
here are 2 or 3 I shot from my back yard on 10/03 I live 2 miles north of MCAS Miramar. No V-22 this year so sad, on thursday while at the west gate one could see at least 2 MV-22's parked in a lot for aircraft that were/are not part of the airshow

Yep, that (lack of JATO pods) sure sucks. And that hurricane (Ivan 2004) did not help the supply.
Quote from: Midnight Mover on October 13, 2008, 11:31:07 PM
Yep, that sure sucks. And that hurricane did not help the supply.
What do you mean Robert?
This is the rumor:
The Blue Angeles are only offering one JATO takeoff off per airshow. This is as a result of a shortage of JATO bottles due to Hurricane Ivan destroying a huge inventory of them in 2004 as well as the company that produced them is no longer in business or is no longer making JATO bottles. So they primarly use them for a night show if they have one. Remember the days of all 3 days and the night show using JATO...... It looks like those days are over >:D
I also heard that Fat Albert was due for replacement, and the new C130 has more than enough engine power to do the same manuvers, so it does not need JATO.
If anyone has any info on this rumor it would be great ???
That sure does suck..... :(
