First 2 shots are of the Santa Monica Pier, I was bike riding up the coast.
Last shot is in Marina Del Rey after the bike ride with a beer to relax just a bit lol, right outside a friends house. <cheers>
Cool shots! And a great subject to shoot. 8)
I love night shots.

Thanks Nate ;)
Here is the Virginia Beach Oceanfront at 2am. :) From my trip to Oceana in 2007. I went out at 2am because all the rowdy people were dying down and it was less likely to get mugged. <laughing>
Those are some good shots Fernando <thumbup>
Nice pics, Fernando, How many cervesa's was that? LOL <cheers> <rob> <thumbup> <tcat>

Love the colors on this one. The wild fire red contrasting with the clouds and the tower...I like. <thumbup>
So, when are you going to come down to LAX to shoot with me?
When will you be there? Let me know and I'll meet up with you. :)
Sweet tower shot!
Here I am at work last year. I decided to get a mock felony stop night shot. I'm the guy closest to the camera.
A couple others I took while at work. :)
Took this with my first digital... a 2.1mp Fuji P&S. <laughing> Had that thing for like 3 years before deciding I needed something else.
I like how this driving shot turned out though. I think it screams California for anyone not from here. 8)
Pretty cool shots Nate! <rocker>
Almost similar to your shot above, Nate. Except mine is like real blurry lol <laughing>
That's cool! 8)
Great shots guys ;D

No, those were hand held.
Nice, thats how I usually take my sunst shots. ;D
I'd like to know what is needed to take night shots. Last week it was nice and cold, the sky was very clear and the all the mountains were visible thanks to a very bright moon (it was at about 2:30am). What settings are needed to take night shots?
A few sunsets taken over the year in different seasons.

It's all about getting out there and trying different stuff. A lot of it depends on what city conditions you have, moon light, there are to many factors to list? Just get a tripod and go from there. Sometimes I use aperture setting, other times i use speed settings. You can mess with the iso settings too.
I took this the other day under about a 2/3 full moon at 9:30pm. Camera settings were ISO 200, F1.8, 30 seconds.
