I also remember hearing that there was America Airlines 747 wash station at KSAN in the 80's...That would have been cool to see.

I'm sure most of you already know this, but starting this Sunday March 27, British airways is switching up their daily service to a 747-400.  Nice to see a scheduled 747 service coming back to KSAN, i think the last time was in 2003, with the SAN-PHX-LHR route.

Not sure what the final type will be, but this article says that British Airwayswill be using a 747 for the San Diego - Heathrow route! The article also says something about a 777-300ER.
