The skies above SoCal have been pretty spectacular as of late.  While the rest of the country has been freezing, we are enjoying some fine weather and some awesome sunsets.  Took that opportunity to take some shots the other day at KSAN.  I will say that although there are some nice colors, it is sure hard to shot in low light.

A couple from Plane park.  On the Continental 737 I saw something that looked like a skid plate on the aft end plane.  Anyone know what this is?

Got a new Sony 70-400mm lens today and went out shooting at KSAN..not a lot of activty, but still got to try out the new lens.

Couple more from Plane Park.  Also the highlight of the day was the largest plane to regularly fly into KSAN.  FedEx's MD-11 comes in every Friday and Saturday.  Man we need some 747's!
