There's also an F-86 on a pole outside the AF HQ building.

I was up at Palmdale mid day today.

Saw a U-2 take off, the VISTA F-16 do a couple of touch and gos, and a 12:00 JANET flight arriving.

Also, the BA 747-800 disapeared mid day as visible from the street.

I didn't know Boeing's hanger was big enough for the 747.  I know the other 747 is at VCV.  I wonder if maybe it just flew there.

It wasn't in the hanger, but north of it.

Ohh I wonder what they're doing with it.  I haven't been down in a week or two.

Certification flight test program. It flew around for a couple of hours on Friday. The one at VCV will eventually come back, after they repair the "ooops" damage.

Not sure about the T-33 but I remember hearing once that the Nighthawk is a "mutt" being made up of parts from many aircraft.

Here ya go.

Did anyone manage to get pics of SOFIA and the SCA in the pattern at the same time today? Way cool!
