Great looking ship....caught it outside today. Alan , whats the story on this ship ? 412s are cool.

these 2, I believe are Mercy Air Helos that were parked at Gillespie Field Tuesday 04/07 while I was taking pics of Aluminum Overcast.

Great shots.  What is that built in molded step on the bottow.  Never saw anything like that.

That's the 29 Palms bird, aka Mercy Air 29. It's been at RSI at VNY getting a new interior installed.

Im trying to arrange to get a few hovering shots before it leaves next week......great looking paint scheme.

Damon , those pods are extra fuel tanks.......i don`t know the capacity of them....maybe Alan can tell us.

Those are aux fuel tanks. Ours has them, too. They're called "ERA tanks" because they were designed by ERA Aviation for off-shore useage, where long legs are needed, and increased fuel load by 152 gallons. Later 412s came from the factory with enlarged internal fuel tanks, which is why you don't see ERA tanks on new stuff.

Just came into Torrance.  It flew over before and just came into the approach.  2nd time now.  Must be shooting the approach here.
