Took advantage of some Cajon Pass snow to head out and grab some train shots. (Always have loved trains, but never shot them). Had a fun train come through, points to whoever can guess what it was. ;)

That first shot is one of the best train shots I've seen.

Yep, I thought it was pretty sweet. The train was southbound though, we had a local tell us they were brand new off the assembly line headed to be shipped overseas (can't confirm). Here's a detail shot of the Strykers... Pair of Mobile Gun System Strykers, a Mortar Vehicle and Medic Vehicle Stryker:

@kick Z tail out: Great shots from your snow day in Cajon, and nice catch with the military train.

I didn't know there was a thread about trains.  Here are a couple of images from my commutes to work this week.

Thank you.  I have had some great photo opportunities the past week during my commute to and from work.

Nice Damon.  8) I just recently got out and shot some new train stuff. I like it because they have to come by you.  ;D

Shot this one blind (not looking in the viewfinder) while pacing him in my truck at 50mph. Fun shot :) 1/200
