Miramar MCAS- NKX

I was by miramar yesterday and saw 2 hornets heading west, a KC-130 taking off, a T-34? looked like a navy blue one heading torwards miramar and a C-17 departing miramar

Nice! last time I was by miramar I only saw 2 F/A-18's in the pattern....  >:(   <laughing>

I think VMFAT-101 has a couple of them.  T-34's

Sorry... I dont know much about military airplanes.... VMFAT-101= what does that stand for?

HMLA = Marine light attack helicopter squadron

VMFT- Fighter Training (USMC's bad guys squadron)
HMLA/T- light attack training squadron...and yes the last few i saw had dash T instead of HMLAT

V means "Fixed Wing"  every thing else looks OK

Then it might be that in some cases there might be only one squadron in the entire Marine Corps, or only one squadron per coast.

Here is CH-46 that wa straight up in front of my house. I was using my 28-135 lens in the 135 setting. Time was 6:38 PM PDT

note the red reflection on the lower cargo door.
