Yep, needs a bath :o

If I remember back to my Navy Active Duty days, Naval and Mairne Corp aircraft are supposed to be washed every 30 days not to interfere with mission requirements.

This Stallion is about due judging by the photo. However with all that rotor wash and jet blast, those Stallions must be a real pain in the backside to keep clean.

I was onbase at Miramar and like NAS N I there was little flying. The first day back from the Christmas and New Years leave periods was usually always a Safety Stand Down.

All bummed out!!! I was at Miramar 01/12/09 for about 1 and 1/2 hours Not one aircraft took off or landed. I went home ( I live 2 miles north of the base) and got in the shower and about 2 dozen aircraft took off and most went in a north easterly direction, over my house towards 29 Palms.

I heard this MD-11/DC-10 flying over my house 02/01/09 Presumably, he's just off the runway at Miramar MCAS.

Looks like they still do :)

I am in need of more photos of the DC-10. I want to get as many as I can before they disappear forever :'(

Previous to the DC-10 I posted another DC-10 took off but I was not able to get a postable pic of it.

Charters for the US Military.

They have come into March ARB, LAX, and Miramar the last few years.
