WINGS,  WHEELS  &  ROTORS EXPO  2007
Sunday, October 28, 2007
10am to 4pm

The sixth annual "Wings, Wheels and Rotors Expo" will be held on Sunday, October 28, 2007, at the Army Airfield at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos. Using 1,000,000 square feet of the tarmac at this active military airfield, this family-oriented program will feature a wide variety of civilian, military and public agency helicopters, plus early military and current front line attack helicopters, and your favorite news media "eye in the sky" choppers that bring you the Breaking News reports, as well as helicopters from Orange and Los Angeles County law enforcement and fire agencies. Then you'll have both civilian and military aircraft, along with fly-overs and demonstrations. Add to this a major car show with more than 650 custom, classic, hot rods plus motorcycles and customized bicycles; along with 150 vendors, two food courts, a kids corner and live entertainment! You will need a photo identification to enter the active military installation.

Looks like I'm going to be able to make it but towards the end of the show.

Canon stuff.

I was outside of my house in Fullerton this afternoon when I heard what sounded like a formation above. I looked up to catch 4 planes coming overhead. I ran to get my camera and was able to capscure a few grainy but readable shots. I'm not sure what this was about but each plane had a different branch of the U.S. Military on it's underwing. I'm thinking an early fly-in for tomorrows Los Al show? You guys have probably been to a lot more show than I have so you would probably recognize these aircraft.

Saw the red Waco leave TOA this morning. Dunno if it was heading to the show.

Nice meeting you today Glen.  Yeah those are the Bird Dogs and the Stearman.  You probably got shots today of them.
