Those were taken by my father before i was even born. I'm transfering them from slides.

I was going to say, what did that look like in person :o Those are great <thumbup>

cool shots considering the photographic technology back in the day. Those shots must be from the mid 1950's.

Discovered winter training for the first time in 2009, and I will be back every year.  Words can not describe the feeling of 4 F/A-18's in full afterburner flying over your head at 100 feet, truly an indescribably awesome feeling!

Yeah it was a complete surprise.  This was an Airshowbuzz group, and we had a thread going all winter long from a gentleman named Ray.  So we learned that some of the team was reading the thread and sure enough they brought out the whole team (Officers) in between their 2 practices.  They actually skipped their debrief and hopped right in a van and drove over.  It was definitely a cool experience.  The shook all of our hands and thanked us for the support (Like it's a difficult thing to support?!?).  They were all very personal and all around stand up guys and gals, glad these guys are representing our country.

Ps-I'm obviously the one in the red shirt, and Nate (Kick z tails) is in the group photo as well (To my right in the grey shirt and shaved head)

I've always wondered how he remembered everyone's name, postion, rank and hometown...That really makes sense now...

Kevin, wonder if you could let us know how you got that close to the team?

Realbigtaco, It was a photo pit that Fencecheck and Dave Schultz Airshows put together. We were standing right in front of the announcers stand, if you look in the visor shot you can see the group of photographers standing there.
