If you can get up to the fence, you can use a monopod and a cable release to get some shots without the fence in the way.
East side there is a LARGE tent.  So try from the west side.

That would be "Dubai 008 Boeing 747-2B4BM(SF) from the Dubai Air Wing.  Apparently, it is Sheikh Mohammed's horse transport!

I can't its a secret..... west side of Flight Path LAX Museum, old termianl parking lot and a mono pod or thru the fence for me.   Imperial Hill for the departure shots.
