Running late to the party! Lt. Mark Tedrow gets out of MCAS Miramar in a hurry in the spare #4 jet after mechanical problems prevented him from taking off at the start of the performance in his #6 jet.

Glad you could make it out Brandy. You missed the best part, beer during the Twilight Show!

I was listening in on the radio on Friday, and he said (and i'm not a pilot so not 100% sure what this means) that someone had taped over the ground steering speed switch, so it was stuck on high.  Tickle was telling him to just be careful and put some extra room in between them.  But they got the mobile unit down there to get him a knife or something to pop off the tape.

BTW on Sunday, after the squirrel cage #3 dropped out and jumped into the #4 spare 8 minutes later.  Then the funny thing was they towed it all the way down to runway 24L when we were leaving.

Damon,

I went to the Sunday show, and the F-35 had the same boring demo.  Three passes and a vertical landing, taxied to get fuel, then a burner takeoff.
