A-330s' are death traps!!! Anyone remember the Air France A-330 that went down about a year ago off the coast of Brazil enroute to Paris? And last week an Air Afrique Airbus A-330 crashed in Libya killing all onboard but one child. And back in November 2003 a Qantas Airlines Airbus A-330 had severe uncommanded pitch manuever caused by the automatic pilot suddenly disengaging. Though safely recovered and landed safely.  Makes me think twice about travelling on an A-330. I do not trust SCAIRBUS A-330s'.

Stop hating on the scare, umm I mean Airbus 330s <nono> 8)

Mr. Airport

I would happily fly on an A330 anytime! I personally feel safer in larger planes than smaller ones. When Air Canada brings their 763 to LAX for their Toronto service. You can bet I will take that rather than a 320.

Also, anyone know what there is an IL-76 sieeing near the flight path museum tarmac? Saw one tonight on my drive from work to Luckys Donuts shop.

As of May 2010, there have been 9 incidents involving Airbus A330s due to mechanical issues in 17 years, only 3 of which resulted in a crash, with a total of 338 fatalities combined. One of those crashes was an Airbus-operated prototype on a test flight.

By that logic, you may not want to fly Southwest ever again. There have been 144 crashes of Boeing 737s resulting in 3,847 fatalities.

That thing flew in today? Wondering if that's the one that was supposed to go to klgb.
