Don't have a clue, I would imagine that isn't their only 65, I see one fly-by every now and again.

NikonGuy

I think they had about 2 last time i went to their base (when I worked at LAX). It would be nice to have a Jayhawk for our Los Angeles base. thnx for the info.

Cool. I liked the old paint jobs much better.
Really? The bright orange seems more sleek though.. but the old colors are old school.

USCG Air-station LA Just got its first MH-65C armed and updated Dolphin last week. The most interesting upgrade is the new fantail/Fenstron. The blades are now staggered to allow a large decrease in noise. It is a new sound....no more howl but a more subdued sound.

It also has a new external antenna`s ....no guns but mounts for them

The other tail is a EC-130

You only live once so shoot twice

NikonGuy

Nice shots, Skip and Michael.   ;)

I want to hear the "new" sound.   ;D

I've heard it the past month or so over the port here. Not a fan of it at all. I'm gonna miss the old sound.
