I've never once seen Grandstand tickets sell out.  If you get early to a show, you'll get them just fine there.

Yeah, I'm waiting to get my ticket the day of the show. It may cost an extra couple bucks, but I'm keeping my eye on the weather before I decide if I'm definitely going or not.

Thanks... The type of weather I'm waiting to see is if we get any fire weather though.  ;)  ;D If theres a chance for an 'unscripted' air show involving retardant I would pass on the show. However, if we get a couple days out and it doesn't look too convincing I'll be at Miramar.  <laughing>

You'd pass on F-22s, SuperBugs, and Blues for a fire?!?!?

You know you just need to see if they are hiring and work for the CDF already. :D

Do it, the crowds are the smallest that day, only thing that is different is that there is no twilight show...which you're not missing much.

I hear you, but yes... Air shows are fun and all, I just love the air shows we get fighting fires. The tankers even fly lower a lot of the time. ;) Plus, you never know what is going to happen. Whereas I can tell you the entire demo profile of the Superbug, Raptor and the Blues. At a fire, one minute you're watching a helicopter in the distance, the next minute a P-3 crosses a ridge line diving right down over your head.

Don't get me wrong, I love all the air show stuff. But they're scheduled and never a surprise, so if something unscripted happens, I'd rather chase after that.
