Just like all the VFA-125 birds. ;) VFA-106 too  :P

At Miramar last year, I was talking with one of the VFA-125 pilots, and I asked him about the Marines on one side and Navy on the other. He looked at me like I was from another planet, looked at one side of the plane, walked over and looked at the other and said "Huh, I actually never noticed that before."

Haha, thats awesome!  <laughing>

We talked to a trainee Gladiator at NAFEC last year that didn't seem to actually care much about flying. Couldn't believe it.

Hello Mr. Addison. The reason why VFA-125 "Rough Raiders" has Navy and Marines written on each side is because the squadron trains pilots to fill F/A-18 billets throughout the United States Marine Corps and Navy. Technically speaking VFA-125 is a training squadron. Also you'll see VMFAT-101 Sharpshooters with Navy on one side and Marines on the other.  Here is a Wikipedia link on VFA-125:

BTW, Bloodhound 700 was never grounded due to a wing crack. There were some P-3s in the fleet that were being checked for that, but BH 700  has been doing fine, according to the VX-30 people I asked about it. Looks like somebody got their P-3s crossed w their S-3s, lol.

Asked my Dad again today, who works at VX-30. He says BH700 was grounded for a month, to the point the guys around the squadron were jokingly calling it "The Museum Piece."

And he works specifically on the P-3s. He knows his P-3s from his S-3s, trust me.

He thinks the guys at the airshow were towing the Navy "line", so to speak.

A whole bunch of awesome pictures in this thread.  I'm going to try to add a few here (I hope they aren't too redundant)! :)
I think we should call the -60 "Rudolph" (the Red Nosed)...
