I came across this old Titan II site last March when I was in Tucson for the Heritage Conference, but was unable to spend any time during the day, so during my trip last month, I made to sure to go out there and wander around the entire place taking pics...........fascinating!

The main silo obviously is no longer accessible, but there was one big chamber still left only half-filled. Two concrete pads, which I would assume marked the guard shacks and main entrance, are also still present.

You have been to the Titan Missile Musuem just south of Tucson, right?

It is pretty neat.

Actually no I've never been there. I've known about it of course for years, but have not really had much interest in it until I came across this one site. Depending on what source you read, there were at one time around 20 of these silos around Tucson.
