The stenciling beneath the cockpit rail made this one too good to pass up!

That's hilarious!  He sure demonstrates his designation in that shot...flickin' boogers in the cockpit, how kosher. <laughing>

Interesting to see the smoke from the other side.......the San Fernando looked incredible this evening. I never seen more smoke.

Jim, Michael and Alan, great stuff you guys are getting.  It's a battle we seem to be losing, but yields for some great photos.  I saw that smoke shot on your FB...just unbelievable.  What a surreal feeling it must be able to see it that close.  Very pretty colors with the sunset illuminating all that smoke.

Ditto, sweet shots ;)

Some of mine from today. I got some real GEMS of the Cobra returning from a mission this afternoon, with the black/smoky background. They were VERY close and suddenly at the last second decided to make a sharp 360 right in front of me! They later went out again and came back just as it was getting dark, used the tripod at about 1/40th sec. The daytime RTB shots will  need some cleaning up, but I will post em asap. In the meantime, enjoy these babies........... :)

Oh yes, big time.  That Cobra must of been pretty darn close....bet ya that was a rush!  Great shots Brian! ;)
Question, where are you shooting from?  Alan has a photo of you with other spotters and seems like it's all the way out there away from home.
