Thanks! Here's a shot showing the flaps. I couldn't see the starboard side, but noticed that there were no obvious exterior sensors of the port side or the wings such as what they carried during the polar flights.  :)

Jim, I heard back from Gray over at Dryden: "the DC-8 is flying some science instrument checkout flights in preparation for a deployment to South America in Oct. There are no media events planned at the moment."
