Interesting thing I notice in this thread - they leave the stairs down if they are used.

I would think they would button those up.

If you look at shots of the VH-60, they seem to leave the step down when they fly. Is there a reason for that?

I have no idea....maybe they forgot ? Or maybe they keep em down for a while in case they have an emergency landing.

What is stenciled on the tail?   Is it the designation?  Not sure where the LA townhall meeting is but that is today prior to Tonight Show w/Jay Leno.....
