In all my years spotting at LAX, this is the FIRST time I've ever seen a Jayhawk there.

Here are two shots of a H-60 series helicopter with an In Flight Refueling Probe. I haven't seen any of the permanently assigned NI helos with I.F.R. probes. The second pic cleatly shows A.F.R.C.

The blue color is tempra paint that can be easily washed off. I have in the past while on active duty, painted F-14 Tomcats with tempra paint to try and disquise them during operations over forrested or desert conditions. Darker colors of tempra paint will leave a slight tint in the low vis paint when the tempra paint is washed off.

Hey Rander!

Actually, that's permanent blue. NAVAIR was doing a 'trial' on that particular color scheme, and HS-6 evaluated it.

That's HH-60H, BuNo 163784. Used to be an HCS-5 Firehawk bird, and made two trips to Iraq. She was a special guest at our first Firehawk reunion in March 2009.

Great shots...

Probably 66th RQS out of Nellis....Air Force MH-60G squadron. They wander out to NI from time to time.

There's a couple of 160th SOAR MH-60L birds running around NI also...been here for a few weeks now.
