Saturday April 19th the Mojave Air and Space Port held its annual experimental fly in. This event included a week of record setting attempts prior to the actual fly in and awards ceremony.  I was invited out to attend a few of the special record attempts including a long range attempt in the refurbished Cat Bird, which was loaded with 195 gallons of fuel, and took flight for nearly 15 hours. The other attempts I covered were various records for the custom built air racer Phantom.

Thanks, and don't let Robert and Kevin fill your head with stories of me telling them to be out there by 5am for a Skyhawk that got moved into a hanger, and them calling about it and me being home in bed =X hahahaha
