Yeah, I did notice that!  It was really hazy yesterday, as opposed to 2 days ago when I shot the previous 2 heavies.  I'm not sure, maybe my white balance is off.  Still tinkering around with the new camera.  So far, it hasn't behaved well with the 100-400.  All the shots you took at Van Nuys came out blurry, as well as mine. ???

Some heavies from today. Wasn't planning on heading out there, just wanted to test my new phone from the hill to make sure the mobile web worked up there.

It was one of those moments where you see it through the lens and say "I hope I got that!"

No reverse landings... but a couple cool catches none the less.

American 777-200

I submitted this one to JetPhotos, let's see what excuse they come up with to reject it.

Did anyone catch the last United 737 flight into LAX yesterday? I wanted to, but it ended up leaving DEN late and I was already on my way home. It was flight UAL737.

I think Keith might have as he was talking about it yesterday.  Surprised United getting rid of 737's.  Guess they are going Airbus?

If I heard it correctly, I was operating on very little sleep. It wasn't the last United 737 flight as it was the last flight of the -300 model of the 737.

I could be wrong. Usually am.

In addition to the -300, they had a couple of -500s which they already retired earlier this year.  So the good ol 73s are gone.  I'm surprised the -800 and -900s didn't capture their interests in substitution for the A319s and A320s.

A few from early Wednesday.  Super windy and cold that morning.  Also met our new member, eddieone, that day. <apscs>

Also, say goodbye to JAL's 747s.  They've permanently replaced them with the 773s for the NRT route.
