Nice Dauphin shot! And those LA County 412s are sweet machines.

I couldn't sleep again (I've been doing night shift since 2002 and I still hate it) so I decided to go cruise by the airport with my camera. Cal Fire had nothing going on, so I passed by the Sheriffs Air Unit on my way back home. As I drove by, I saw a dozen people suited up and standing on the pad next to Star 92 and Star 94. Sweet!

Parked for a second and sure enough, the two birds took off and they were doing a training exercise for some LEOs on how to ingress and egress from a helicopter in a low hover. They continued to cycle back and forth between the two helicopters for about 15 minutes and then landed.
