Amen to that...  From everyone I talk to (nobody here) you would think the 100-400 is the greatest thing since sliced bread.  maybe i was wrong to think constant aperture lenses were the hot ticket.  ;D

These two images I "enhanced" in Photoshop to bring out the Schlieren Effect at the edge of the aircraft's "shockwaves".
