Just a couple of shots from the loads I shot over the fence at the storage airfield here. Only had about an hour or so, so no time to take advantage of the possiblities here. Airside would be just so cool. The C-17 did an overshoot so took advantge of the wonderful backdrop for some "arty" shots though it was a big "blow-up" as only had my 70-200 on at the time sadly!

Oh yeah I got a good shot of you departing BA747 the other day!

Is the F-4 still out there (inside the fence) by the Nat'l Guard facility?

Thanks guys, Brian...should have checked up on that before hand, didn't know there was one. Can't believe I missed an F-4! Next time I'll have to check that out for sure. :(

Yeah there is an Army NG facility on the NE side of the airport, which you can see if you keep going along the main road that curves over in that direction.  Last time I saw it, they had pulled it from the public display near one of the old main gates, and put it back behind the fence. I'll try to remember to check on it when I go down to Palm Springs later this month. It's either a C or D model, and has an SEA scheme. I don't think they're taking care of it, so it might not look very good at this point.

The windows on the 787 are a electrostatic variable tint. The cabin windows no longer have shades, you simply touch a button to make them more or less opaque.
