Thanks for the words!

Well I actually stumbled upon you guys the other day.  I was actually thinking it would be cool to start a SoCal aviation page, so I started checking around and low and behold one already existed!  So I signed up, and dragged Nate (Kick Z Tails) along too.  Looking through this list it looks like I have met a few of you before, and recognize a lot of you from various sites around the net.  Hopefully I can meet more of you and learn from some of the best in the business, in my humble opinion.

As for me personal I am a born and raised San Diegan.  I am an aerospace engineer with Goodrich Aerostructures in Chula Vista.  I have loved aviation since the earliest I can remember.  As far as Aviation Photography I have been doing it for some years now, but have just recently within the last few years gotten into a little more "seriously."  I shoot with a Sony Alpha 200 using a 70-300mm lens (although I have my eye on a 50-500mm sigma lens!!!)

Other then that I'm just looking to continue a great hobby and passion of mine!!

Cool!  You have a lot of great stuff to shoot down there.  Glad you found us.  We are pretty laid back here.  We have members from your area up to San Jose and one memeber in England (moving to So. Bay-LA area in future).  So we are pretty diverse group of guys.  We have another engineer as well as an aerospace company too.  Look foward to your stuff.  I myself work in the "Valley" and live in the So. Bay so I shot all over.  Rander is down in your neck of the woods at North Island.   If your up here alot of is shot at LAX off and one or at Santa Monica or Van Nuys, Long Beach...

I've never shot LAX, and really want to one day.  I'm thinking of going to Wings Over Camarillo in August, and might need to make it a full day event, check out the In-n-Out burger.

Its a good place to shoot.  During the winter when the sun is to the south of LAX, Imperial Hill, Proud Bird and Burger King is good.

Glad to see ya Chris. Thanks for giving me the tip about checking this place out. I like the tight knit atmosphere here. :) Seems like it would be easy to start getting to know these guys and running into each other at locations.
