If I could afford a warbird, I would want one of these. They aren't cheap and are brutish looking on the ground, but holy moly what a fun airplane! Fast, beefy and a roomy cockpit for a warbird, the Trojan is also heavy enough where turbulence isn't as much of a factor as it is in smaller trainers.

All the Camarillo Trojans that congregate at the south end of the airport?

Some of them are based in Camarillo, others are from other parts of California and Arizona. C and J aviation at Camarillo used to do a lot of business in T-28s, but they are moving more toward executive jets.

Cheers Fernando. I had always liked the T-28 when I saw them from the ground, but after my first flight, I was hooked! It was love at first flight.

I think this is a neat plane, and one day i hope to get to ride in the back seat.  Sometimes when I'm board at work, I go to the Courtesy Aircraft page and see how I could pull off buying one of these planes.  I've seen them in good shape for $175,000....To dream at work can make for a long day...

Here are a few from the Warbirds West T-28/T-34 fly in back in November.  I loved the Navy blue T-28.

Here was Warbirds West T-28, and standing in front is Retired Brig General Robert Cardenas.  If you ever get the chance to hear him talk it's well worth it
