Nice ones Ron.  Is it pretty busy down at Imperial or you were lucky?

Those are from a number of days.  It all depends, really.  I've never been skunked on a weekday, I'll see anywhere betwen 4-7 birds.   Was I lucky?  I don't know.  Maybe I just went down there the days they were flying.  I AM lucky in that it is only 20 minutes from my house, so no big deal if I DO get skunked.

FINALLY caught one of the Heritge Paint birds flying.

some rotor tip vapor on this one

Nice ones Ron!

Thanks.  There was only one when I got out of the car, but in the 90 minutes I was down there I guess there were 6 different helicopters, 5 at once for a while.

more fun at OLF, at least 7 different birds, and even the Coast Guard came by to shoot approaches...

Nice catch Damon!  How was it down there?  I've never tried to make it there.  Maybe i should head down there one day after work, seeing that it is about 10 minutes away.

Might be worth it if you see stuff flying.  They basically were practicing hovering and auto rotations.  Hiked/walked trail along EOR for better views.   See my MapMyRide for that day to see the trail.  There are like 2 parking spots or park in neighborhood.
