ARMY AVIATION Magazine, 6th Annual Photography Contest NOW OPEN!

ARMY AVIATION Magazine Announces its sixth annual photography contest!

Awards will be given to the best photographic works that reflect an Army Aviation subject or theme.

Twelve cash prizes will be awarded for 1st place ($500), 2nd ($300), 3rd ($200), 4th ($100), and 8 honorable mentions of $50 each. Contest is open to AAAA members in good standing.

Photos taken during the 2010 calendar year, and that reflect an Army Aviation subject or theme may be submitted. Members have from now until Jan. 7, 2011 to submit up to 3 photos of their original work.

Winning photos are featured in ARMY AVIATION Magazine, the 2010-2011 AAAA Calendar, and on the AAAA website.   www.QUAD-A.org

TO bad most people will never get to see the 160th fly in person. I remember one day we were out on the range at Bragg. Range control put us into a weapons hold status for almost 2 hours. Overhead comes some Little Birds with some Apache gunships flying high cover. On the Little Birds were probably guys from CAG or better known to most as Delta.

To bad the Army does not have some type of demo time demonstrating the power of Army Aviation. The pilots from the 160th are the best helo pilots around. They can do amazing things with their birds.
