All,

While on travel for work this past week, someone decided to help themselves into my house.  One of the things that has not turned up after some searching is my 200-400.  We all know this is a fairly rare lens, and should it hit the used market it would stick out.

I would appreciate it if people here could keep their eye out for a Nikon 200-400 f/4 with s/n 303647 on it's ID plate, its a US lens (meaning it carries a green NikonUSA sticker by the plate).  I've had the police out as well as talked with my insurance company; thankfully insurance will cover this.  I'm still annoyed all this has happened, especially since i've used the lens maybe 5 times since i bought it.

thanks in advance,
matt

I feel you Matt, we had a break in a few years back and they stole among other things all my camera equipment, computer tower wedding ring, xbox, and other things.  You feel violated.  Insurance covered it all but we still realized we missed stuff long after payout.  Double check everything and good luck.

Not cool. :( At least you'll be getting a 200-400 with zero miles on it. ;)

Yeah definitely not cool at all, I will keep my eyes open since I almost check craigslist everyday. Check *craigslist*    :o   and sorry to hear that, Matt.
