Hi guy,

I am on a little vacation up to the Pacific Northwest to visit family and check everything out.  I took a little trip to the Flying Heritage Collection yesterday and I have a little review on it.  First I'd like to say if you are up in the PacNW you have to see this museum.  What museum has two FW190's?  First you start out front driving up the road to the parking lot and you are surrounded by the new Boeing 787's(something you don't get in SoCal - unless a C-17 is blocking it! ;)) so that got me pumped.  Now of course they get you to check out the gift shop when you are purchasing your admission because it is tied into one.  So I did and they have a good sized gift shop with a lot of choices.  Next is the main museum hangar.  The museum is a smaller hangar(smaller than Lyon Air Museum at SNA), but it was nice.  They have a great collection of aircraft(almost all fighters).  Starting with the Hawker Hurricane, the Spit, some Russian planes, TWO FW-190's, a P-51, P-47, Me 109, and a B-25.  They also have three German missiles, two tanks and a Lancaster that is split in two to show you what the cockpit, radio room, and nose looks like, and a private spacecraft.  The things I love about the museum, besides the aircraft, where the placards that had general information on the aircraft, stats about how fast it went, how high it goes, etc., and then information on the aircraft's past.  Next thing is the video displays, awesome.  You push one of two or three buttons and you get a short about WWII.  The pictorials on the hangar walls are also awesome.  The photography is great and it gives glimpse of the past.

So in conclusion, this was a great museum and yes, I'd go back.  If you get a chance go visit this museum you will not regret it.  If you do want to get some pictures, have fun.  The lighting is difficult and the barricades get in the way.

You get the low quality pictures while I am deciding if I am going to upgrade my Flickr..
