The U.S.S. Iowa battleship arrives at the Port of Los Angeles on Wednesday May 23, 2012, but will not dock at Berth 87 until Saturday July, 7th. 2012. She will remain anchored near the Port of Los Angeles breakwater.

Two Navy F/A-18E and F Super Hornet squadrons will transition from NAS Oceana, VA. to NAS Lemoore, CA. in 2014. I was talking with the PAO officer for VFA-151 Vigilantes aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) at the open house at the Port of Los Angeles Navy Week event, and he was telling me that VFA-103 Jolly Rogers and VFA-143 Pukin' Dogs are the likely candidates for transitiion to the west coast.
